Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Calendioo, which provides the service (who runs Calendioo is stated in the Contact section at the end): the website calendioo.com, the Calendioo apps for iPhone and Android and the services around them. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. They apply both to people who book ("customers") and to the businesses that take bookings ("salons"); sections 7 to 11 apply to salons only.

How we treat personal data is described in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

2. What Calendioo is

Calendioo is a marketplace. Customers find salons, see their services, prices and free times, and book. Salons run their calendar, staff, services and payments through the platform. When you book, the agreement for the service itself is between you and the salon: the salon decides what it offers, at what price and under which cancellation policy, and is responsible for performing the service. We provide the booking, the payment handling and the messages around them, and we are not a party to the service agreement.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 to use the service. Give correct information when you register and keep it current. You are responsible for what happens on your account: keep your e-mail account and devices secure and tell us at support@calendioo.com if you suspect that someone else has access. One person, one account.

A salon can add its employees as users. An employee's access is limited to the salon's bookings and settings the salon allows, and ends as soon as the salon deactivates them.

4. Booking as a customer

Confirmation. Some salons confirm bookings at once; others approve each request. A request that the salon does not answer within the time shown when you book lapses, and any amount reserved on your card is released.

Cancelling. Every salon sets a cancellation deadline, shown on the salon's page and before you confirm the booking. Until that deadline you can cancel in the app or on the website free of charge, and a card payment is refunded automatically. After the deadline you can no longer cancel yourself; contact the salon, which decides whether to cancel and whether the booking is charged.

Missed bookings. If you do not turn up and have not cancelled, the salon may record the booking as missed and charge it under its policy. After repeated missed bookings your account is restricted from booking for 3 months, and a salon may decline your bookings.

Changes by the salon. A salon may need to move or cancel a booking, for instance when the person you booked is ill. You are told by e-mail and in the app, and a card payment for a booking the salon cancels is refunded in full.

Right of withdrawal. Bookings are made at a distance, so the rules on distance contracts apply. By booking a time you ask the salon to perform the service at that time, and once the service has been performed the right of withdrawal no longer applies to it. Until then the salon's cancellation policy above applies, and your statutory rights as a consumer are never reduced by these terms.

5. Payments and refunds

Salons offer payment at the salon, by card, or both. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. When you pay by card the amount is reserved on your card when you book and charged when the booking is confirmed, immediately for salons that confirm at once and otherwise when the salon approves. The price shown when you book, including VAT, is what you pay for what you booked. Anything the salon does beyond that during your visit is agreed and paid between you and the salon.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, normally within 5 to 10 business days of the cancellation. If you think a charge is wrong, contact the salon first; if that does not resolve it, write to support@calendioo.com.

6. Reviews

After a completed booking you may leave a rating and a review. Write about your own visit, truthfully, and without unlawful, defamatory or discriminatory content. Reviews are shown with your initials. Salons may reply. We remove reviews that break these rules or that are plainly not about a real visit.

7. For salons: joining

A salon account is for a business. The person who registers confirms that they may act for it. Give the business's correct name, organisation number, address, opening hours, services and prices and keep them current. Before a salon's page goes live we review it, and we may ask for changes or decline a salon that does not fit the platform.

You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to your business, including consumer, tax and bookkeeping rules and any licence or permit your services need, and for the quality of the services you perform.

8. For salons: payments through Stripe

To take card payments you connect a Stripe account. Stripe's own terms apply to that account, Stripe pays the money out to you, and Stripe handles the card networks' rules on chargebacks. Stripe's processing fee is deducted from each card payment before the payout. Calendioo currently charges no fee of its own on payments; if we introduce one we tell you at least 3 months in advance. Receipts, invoices and the VAT and tax on your services are your responsibility.

9. For salons: subscription

A salon's page can only be live with a running plan: Mini, Standard or Premium, as described on our pricing page. A new plan starts with a 60-day free trial, after which it is charged monthly; prices are stated ex VAT; the number of staff seats you use is part of the price. Plans renew until you cancel, and a cancellation applies from the end of the current period. If a payment fails you have 7 days to fix it before the salon's page is taken offline. We tell you about price changes at least 30 days before they apply.

10. For salons: your customers' data and your staff

The information you enter about your customers, including bookings you make for people who book by phone or at the counter, is yours to answer for: you are the controller of it under data protection law and must have a lawful basis and inform your customers. We process it on your behalf to run the bookings, under the terms of our privacy policy, and we do not use it for anything else.

When you add staff, you confirm that they agree to be shown on your page by first name and to use the service under these terms. Deactivating a staff member ends their access at once.

11. For salons: closing or leaving

You may close your salon from the settings. A closure has a notice period of 90 days: your page stops taking bookings beyond your last open day, bookings already made for later days are cancelled and refunded by us, and customers who had them are told. You can call the closure off any time during the notice period. 90 days after the last open day your salon's data is deleted. Your plan ends with the closure.

We may take a salon offline or end its account if it breaks these terms, treats customers unfairly, or puts the platform or its users at risk. We tell you why, and we refund customers whose bookings are affected.

12. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful or to get around a legal obligation.
  • Do not submit false information, fake bookings or fake reviews.
  • Do not try to reach another user's account or data.
  • Do not copy, scrape or republish content from the service beyond what the service itself offers.
  • Do not interfere with the service or its security.
  • Do not harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.

13. Our content and yours

The Calendioo name, logo, design and software belong to us. What you add — your profile, your salon's texts and photos, your reviews and notes — stays yours, and you give us the right to show and process it as the service needs, for instance to show your review to other customers or your salon's photos to people who search.

14. Availability, changes and liability

We work to keep the service running and improve it, and we may change features over time. We do not promise that it is uninterrupted or free from errors, that a particular time is available, or that a salon will perform a service to your satisfaction; the salon answers for the service.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or SEK 1 000, whichever is higher. Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

15. Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time from your profile; a salon owner first closes or hands over the salon. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Bookings that are already paid are either honoured or refunded under the salon's policy.

16. Law and disputes

Swedish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live also apply and prevail. We try to resolve disagreements directly; a consumer in Sweden can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN, and a consumer in another EU country to their national consumer body. Beyond that, disputes are decided by Swedish courts, or by the courts of your home country where the law gives you that right.

17. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you in the app and by e-mail at least 30 days before the change applies. If you keep using the service after that date, the new terms apply; if you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
